I met Killian and Anna when I did an engagement shoot for them at Powerscourt Waterfall. They were moving back to Ireland after spending some years in the Netherlands. If that wasn’t enough they decided to get married too. They were a fun loving couple who very obviously had the weather gods on their side as you can see from their photos, blue skies all the way!
Arriving at the majestic Kilkea Castle on that sunny July morning I felt like I was in Tuscany with temperatures of 28 degrees. There was a fantastic buzz as guests arrived from the Netherlands, Australia and South Africa. I had a lot of fun with Anna and her gorgeous bridesmaids as they got ready.
The setting of the castle was magical with a wonderful display of arched flowers to provide the most amazing backdrop for the ceremony. Unheard of in Ireland they provided umbrellas for guests and they were used to shade the sun!
After a touching ceremony people quickly went indoors to escape the heat enjoying the coolness of the castle and some bubbles and tasty canapes.
We got some amazing photos both outside and inside the castle with a lot of laughter throughout.
The Impressive Baronial was set up beautifully as guests arrived in to celebrate with the newlyweds to eat and dance the night away, truly a day to cherish forever!
