When I met Barbara and Kevin I knew they were meant for each other, laid back and full of fun. I knew their day was going to be amazing. It was a wet and windy October day when preparations in Barbara’s house were underway. We were praying to the weather gods to stop the rain!
The ceremony took place in St. Brigid’s church in Blanchardstown. As I’m local I love shooting there. It’s a quaint small church right in the village. Kevin drove his own vintage car to the church. Cars are his passion and he has quite a collection. I loved today’s one a vintage green just right for such an occasion. There was great excitement at the church as Barbara arrived. The ceremony was beautiful. After the ceremony we kept all the guests inside while I ran up to the balcony of the church to take a group shot. I find once I tell people after the shot is taken they can head to the bar it focuses them and they happily waved and smiled at me. We were able to take all the family shots inside the church with Barbara’s beloved dog joining us.
Barbara is a huge Disney fan and what a surprise when we left the church to be greeted by none other than Mickey and Minnie themselves.
Kevin drove himself and his gorgeous new wife to the Phoenix Park, one of my favourite places where we got some lovely shots of the newly weds. Thankfully our prayers were answered and the rain held off.
We arrived to the Angler’s Rest the perfect place for an autumnal wedding with log fires and candles lighting creating a beautiful atmosphere. Greeted by family and friends Barbara and Kevin were ready to party. What an amazing start to their life together!
